Miroslav Martinjak

Miroslav Martinjak (born August 4, 1951 in Gornja Voća near Ivanec ) is a Croatian organist , composer , church musician , arranger and professor of the University of Zagreb as well as regens chori of the Zagreb Cathedral .

biography

He studied Gregorian chant , composing and organ ( Organo liturgico ) in Rome .

Martinjak is a member of the Episcopal Commission for Liturgy of the Croatian Bishops' Conference (since 1992) and of the Conférence Européenne des Associations de Musique d'Église (since 1995). He was also the President of the Institute for Sacred Music in Zagreb (1996–2012). Since 2001 he has been editing the liturgical magazine »Sveta Cecilija« ( Saint Cecilia ).
