Mirpur Khas District is an administrative district in Pakistan in Sindh Province . The seat of the district administration is the city of the same name Mirpur Khas .
The district has an area of 2925 km² and, according to the 2017 census, has 1,505,876 inhabitants. The population density is 515 inhabitants / km². The Sindhi language is spoken by the majority in the district .

The district is located in the southeast of Sindh Province, which is located in southeast Pakistan.

Demographics
Between 1998 and 2017, the population grew by 2.14% annually. Around 23% of the population live in urban regions and around 77% in rural regions. 778,172 men, 727,650 women and 54 transgender people live in 286,547 households , resulting in a gender ratio of 106.9 men per 100 women, which is a common surplus for Pakistan.
The literacy rate in the years 2014/15 among the population over 10 years of age was 48% (women: 35%, men: 60%) and thus below the average of the Sindh province of 60%.
