Mirso Tursunsoda ( Tajik Мирзо Турсунзода ; * May 2, 1911 , † September 24, 1977 ) is considered a Tajik national poet . After Sadriddin Aini , he was one of the leading exponents of socialist realism with Tajik characteristics. The city of Tursunsoda was named in his honor . A gold-colored statue of him stands in the central square of the city.
