Mirza Schaffy Wazeh ( Persian Mīrzā Schafīʿ Wāzeh  /میرزا شفیع واضح / Mīrzā Šafīʿ Wāżeḥ , modern Azerbaijani spelling Mirzə Şəfi Vazeh , alternatively also Mirzä Şäfi Vazeh , kyrill. Мирзә Шәфи Вазеһ , also written in German as Mirzä Schäfi Wazeh , usually simply called Mirza Schaffy or Mirza-Schaffy; * around 1796 in Gandscha ; † 1852 in Tbilisi ) was an Azerbaijani poet.

His father Abdullah was the architect of the Javad Khan Palace in Ganja. His verses appeared in several European languages. In 1844 he founded the literary society "Diwani Hikmet" (translated "divine wisdom") in Tbilisi, which many prominent Azerbaijanis, Russians and foreign intellectuals visited.

It was there that the writer Friedrich von Bodenstedt (1819-1892) met him. This published in 1851 in Germany "The songs of Mirza-Schaffy", whereby it is disputed whether Wazeh or Bodenstedt is to be regarded as the author. The book was a great success and has been translated into several European languages.
