These lifts serve 36 runs, 10% of which are classified as easy, 60% as difficult and 30% as extremely difficult. Mission Ridge has a relatively small area for snowboarding and freestyle skiing ("terrain park"), the so-called B-24 Terrain Park.

Since 1978, the ski area has had night skiing (from four in the afternoon to nine in the evening) and the provision of artificial snow , the capacity of which was expanded in 2005.

Base station

The Hampton Lodge at the valley station of the mountain includes restaurants, bars, shops and rental stations. There are also ski schools, a childcare center and a first aid station.

history

The name "Mission Ridge" was chosen in June 1964. Business began in the fall of 1966 with two chairlifts in Squilchuck Basin, where a B-24 bomber stationed at Walla Walla Regional Airport crashed on September 30, 1944. One wing of the aircraft was recovered from the mountain in 1985 and brought to the lodge; it was set up again in October 1992 on the mountain above the "Bomber Bowl".

Bill Johnson , a 1984 men's downhill Olympic gold medalist, trained at Mission Ridge Ski Academy as a teenager.
