Missionary Society of Boa Nova

The Missionary Society of Boa Nova ( Portuguese : Missionários dà Boa Nova ; Latin : Societas Lusitano pro Missionibus ; abbreviation : SMP ) is a society of apostolic life with the seat of the general government in Lisbon , Portugal .

The Mission Society was founded on October 3, 1930 by João Evangelista de Lima Vidal and recognized by the Curia on October 24, 1932. The society has approx. 220 members (as of 2006). Albino Manuel Valente dos Anjos, who succeeded António José da Rocha Couto, has been the Order's Superior General since 2007 . Well-known order members are:
