Misteltein was a black metal band from Sweden .
Band history
Misteltein was founded in Malmö in 1996 by Seron (singer), Nagrinn (electric guitar), Karagat (electric bass) and Alex (drums). Alex was soon replaced by Nirag and the line-up was supplemented by Hel (keyboard) and Baalzephon (electric guitar). After the demo Spawn of the Phantom Moon , the band got a record deal with No Fashion Records in May 1999 and soon after began recording their debut album. After finishing the recordings, Guitarri's Baalzephon was replaced by Mishrack. Publication was delayed, so Rape appeared in Rapture in July 2000 only appeared in July 2000. It met with a positive response and was sold worldwide.
A year later, the recording of the second album Divine.Desecrate.Complete began in the Berno studio . , which appeared in the fall of 2001. The album entitled. A guest solo is from Johan Axelsson , guitarist with Deranged and Murder Corporation.
In October 2001 Misteltein went on tour through Europe with God Dethroned . Before that, however, Mishrack left the band and was temporarily replaced by Ahldrathan. After the tour, Karagat left the band again. In 2002 he was followed by Mishrack, who wanted to take care of his main band Soilwork . A new album was announced for 2003, but after a dispute in 2002 Nargrinn and keyboardist Hel left the band and in 2004 had the name Misteltein legally protected behind the backs of the other members. The remaining members had already recorded an album and signed a contract with Regain Records . So the group renamed itself in Case ov Serafim .
Former band member Patrik Mårtensson (Baalzephon) died on September 29, 2009 of cancer .
Music genre
Misteltein played much of Dimmu Borgir and Cradle of Filth influenced Symphonic Black Metal .
