Mitteldorfhain is a district of the Saxon community Dorfhain in the district of Saxon Switzerland-Eastern Ore Mountains .
Geography and history
The place is on the edge of the Tharandt forest and the Wild Weißeritz . The buildings of Mitteldorfhain and those of the other two Dorfhain districts Kleindorfhain and Großdorfhain merge seamlessly into one another. The neighboring towns of Mitteldorfhain are:
- Kleindorfhain in the northwest
- Tharandt in the north
- Höckendorf in the east and southeast
- Klingenberg in the southwest
- Großdorfhain in the south
The Waldhufendorf Mitteldorfhain was probably the original name variant of Dorfhain, later it became a district.
