Location of Höckendorf in Saxony

Höckendorf is a district of the Saxon community of Klingenberg in the district of Saxon Switzerland-Eastern Ore Mountains .

Geography and traffic

Höckendorf is located about 20 km southwest of the state capital Dresden and about 10 km northwest of the city of Dippoldiswalde , between Tharandt Forest and the Eastern Ore Mountains . The B 173 runs north and the B 170 east of the village. The Klingenberg dam is located southwest of Höckendorf .

history

The place was probably founded under the aegis of the burgraves of Dohna by their servant Hoiko (1198: Hoiko von Dohna, 1235: Hoiko von Höckendorf handed down). In 1235, Höckendorf was first mentioned in a document. Century was shaped by the knights of Theler .

The Erbgericht with the Erbschänke on Schenkberg was mentioned as early as 1507 under the owner of the resident judge Nikol Geyer and is now the Hotel-Gasthof zum Erbgericht.

The regional painter Mr. Philipp Staude from Reichstädt acquired the Vorwerkgut belonging to the Theler'schen Rittergut on April 29, 1614.

The laying of the foundation stone for the construction of today's rectory after the older one was demolished took place on July 16, 1698 by the journeyman bricklayer Christoph Vogel, who completed the house after 26 weeks of construction and obtained his master's degree.

In 1871 a savings bank was founded in Höckendorf. The voluntary fire brigade was founded on February 3, 1901 with 40 comrades.

Between 1891 and 1892, the road from Höckendorf was expanded over a section of Butterstraße with a new building at the end of the village in the direction of Borlas up to the Marktsteig, where the Neue Straße to Borlas was built in 1888 , which is now the connecting road between the two Localities.

On January 1, 1991 Obercunnersdorf was incorporated . Borlas followed on January 1, 1994, and on March 1, 1994 Beerwalde and Ruppendorf gave up their independence with Paulshain . On December 31, 2012, Pretzschendorf and Höckendorf merged to form the municipality of Klingenberg. Before the dissolution, the community Höckendorf consisted of the six districts Höckendorf (with Edle Krone ), Beerwalde, Borlas, Ruppendorf, Paulshain and Obercunnersdorf.
