history
Beerwalde was mentioned for the first time in 1378 as Berenwalde , but the rural row village with originally fan-like forest hooves was certainly created earlier. At the time of its first mention, the place belonged to the "Castrum Freiberg ", from 1548 to the office of the same name. 1552 was the basic rule in Dippoldiswalde manor. In 1569 and in the following years, the Dippoldiswalde office was named as an administrative affiliation of Beerwalde . In the beerwalder corridors mainly arable farming and cattle breeding were practiced . Sheep and goats as well as cattle were kept and oats, rye and later potatoes were grown. Despite the unfavorable conditions, a small water mill was operated in Beerwalde , but it could only work if there was sufficient water flow. Due to the continuously sufficient water flow, two mills were built on the Wilden Weißeritz, which ceased operations in 1914 after the Klingenberg dam opened and were demolished in the 20th century. From 1856 to 1875 Beerwalde belonged to the Dippoldiswalde court office , then to the Dippoldiswalde district administration . Since 1952 Beerwalde was part of the Dippoldiswalde district (later the district), which merged with the Freital district to form the Weißeritz district in 1994 . On March 1, 1994, Beerwalde was incorporated into Höckendorf, and since December 31, 2012 it has been part of Klingenberg.
