Career

Völzke started playing handball at Bramstedter TS . After the backcourt player ran up for TSV Kronshagen in the B-Youth , he returned to the Bramstedter TS in the A-Youth. Völzke scored more than a hundred goals in his first two seasons as a men's player in the Regionalliga Nordost and made a significant contribution to the club's relegation in both seasons. Through his achievements, he drew the attention of VfL Bad Schwartau , which signed him in the summer of 2009. In the second Bundesliga North, he made three professional appearances and three goals.

Following the first half of the season, Völzke moved back to Bramstedter TS, where he only played with a second game right , as he had a contract in Bad Schwartau until 2012 and was due to return in 2010. In the summer of 2010, however, he joined the third division club SV Henstedt-Ulzburg . With the SVHU he was promoted to the 2nd Bundesliga in 2012. Völzke also trained youth teams at SVHU. In the 2016/17 season, SV Henstedt-Ulzburg started as HSG Nord HU. In February 2017 he also took over the vacant trainer position at HSG Nord HU on an interim basis. After Völzke was without a club from summer 2017, he joined the third division club HC Empor Rostock in February 2018 .
