Ruppendorf is a district of the Saxon municipality of Klingenberg in the district of Saxon Switzerland-Eastern Ore Mountains . It is located about 26 km southwest of Dresden in the Eastern Ore Mountains .
history
The village, which can be called Waldhufendorf due to its settlement form , was first mentioned in 1350 as a Ropotendorf . The tower of a moated castle is still preserved in Ruppendorf , which is seen as the western border castle of the Burgraviate of Dohna .
Only in 1445 was first mentioned, the current name "Rup (p) endorf" up as a manor and a Vorwerk , administratively for the care Freiberg properly, is official knowledgeable.
