history

Obercunnersdorf was first mentioned in 1350 as Conradisdorf (village of Konrad). At that time, the village was owned by the knight Conrad Theler, which is what gave Obercunnersdorf its original name. In 1378 the place belonged to the "Castrum Tharandt ", in 1452 initially to the care Freiberg . The manors Ober- and Niederreinsberg exercised the manorial rule in Obercunnersdorf. Until 1836 the place belonged as an exclave to the Meißen district office , from 1836 to the Freiberg district office . The place had an inheritance court on the road to Freiberg, which formerly belonged to the local judge and had a teaching dairy at the end of the 19th century, the trouser mill that once belonged to it is the seat of Mende's plastics processing . With the construction of a wooden shed by the then inn owner of the village in 1927, the first drinks were served above the Klingenberg dam. Thanks to multiple expansions, today's Waldschänke is a popular stop-off point. The old school was built in 1885 to replace the older school in which the teacher Karl Max Liske taught for the first decades. Today this serves as a residential building.

From 1856 to 1875 administrative affiliation was with the Dippoldiswalde court office , then with the Dippoldiswalde district administration . Since 1952 the place was part of the district Dippoldiswalde in the district Dresden (from 1990 district Dippoldiswalde), which in 1994 merged with the district Freital to form the Weißeritz district . On January 1, 1991, Obercunnersdorf and Höckendorf merged to form the new municipality of Höckendorf, and since December 31, 2012 Obercunnersdorf has belonged to the municipality of Klingenberg as a district.
