Bulk box and chapel

The Mitterhof is an estate with a baroque chute and chapel in the Lower Austrian town of Wildendürnbach in the Laaer Ebene , near the state border with the Czech Republic . The bulk box and chapel are under monument protection . The service wings, which were built in the 18th century and changed in the 19th century, and the two-storey caretaker's house are arranged around a rectangular courtyard.

The listed Schüttkasten in the west is a three-storey baroque building with stone walls around the door and the rectangular windows, a baroque door with wrought iron fittings and a portal marked 1728, which is crowned by a stone coat of arms of the Reuss family.

The chapel, built directly on the bulk box in the south, originally dates from the 17th century and was probably changed in the 18th century. The west facade of the rectangular, baroque hall building with a recessed round apse is bordered by concave corner pilasters . The gable is marked 1729 above the cornice . The chapel is accessible through a stone portal under a curved gable on consoles. To the side of the portal there are empty round niches, above them ox-eye windows . The interior is covered by a groin vault between short barrels and has stitch caps in the apse vault . The furnishings in the chapel have been lost.
