The Mizar Nunatakkers are a small group of Nunatakkers in the Transantarctic Mountains . They are located near the polar plateau around 19 km south of the Wilhoite Nunatakker .
The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names renamed it in 1965 after the cargo ship USNS Mizar of the United States Navy , which in the Freeze Operation Deep of the year was 1961 in use.
