The Mjasishchev M-200 ( Russian Мясищев М-200 ) was the project of a Russian jet trainer.
history
For the successor to the now outdated Aero L-39 trainer in the Soviet Air Force , the so-called UTS specification was issued to various Soviet design offices in 1991.
The M-200 (UTS) was then built in the Myasishchev design office. Like its predecessor, the L-39, this was equipped with a tandem cockpit. The two jet engines were housed in short nacelles, which were arranged at the wing root below the wing. The landing gear consisted of a nose wheel with single tires and two main landing gears, also with single tires.
The designs Jakowlew Jak-130 , Mikojan-Gurevich MiG-AT , Myasishchev M-200 and Sukhoi S-54 took part in the competition, the decision was made in May 1992 in favor of the Jak-130 and initially also the MiG-AT, all of them other projects have been discontinued. After building two prototypes, the development of the MiG-AT was also ended.
