The Myasishchev M-101 Gzhel ( Russian: Мясищев М-101 Гжель ) is a single-engine passenger aircraft or cargo aircraft that was developed by the Russian design office Myasishchev to enter the market for civilian touring aircraft.
history
The design of the M-101 corresponds roughly to the SOCATA TBM 700 or the Piper “Malibu”. It is a low-wing aircraft with retractable landing gear that is equipped with a propeller turbine in the bow. The aircraft offers space for up to seven passengers or corresponding cargo in a pressurized cabin . It has a large cargo door on the left side of the fuselage for picking up cargo. The engine consists of a Czech Walter / Motorlet M601F turbine that drives a V-510 five-blade propeller .
Production of the M-101 began at the Sokol aircraft factory in Nizhny Novgorod , which was previously known for the production of MiG fighter aircraft. The first three machines were built there. The prototype made its maiden flight on March 31, 1995.
The M-101T, RA-10193, was exhibited at the MAKS 1993. The M-101T, RA-15003, c / n 150003, was presented for the first time in the West at the 1996 International Aerospace Exhibition in Berlin . Further performances took place in Le Bourget 1997 (RA-15101) and of course at the MAKS 1997 in Moscow-Zhukovsky .
Approval was due to take place at the end of 1997, but was delayed until early 2003.
