Mladen Kunstic

Mladen Kunstic (* 1955 in Zagreb , Yugoslavia ) is a sculptor, sound artist, painter, draftsman and collagist.

Life

From 1972 to 1976, Kunstic, who had moved to Germany a few years earlier, initially trained as an electrician and from 1976 to 1980 attended the evening grammar school in Aachen . Kunstic then studied art and social sciences at RWTH Aachen University until 1984 . From 1985 to 1987 he went on study trips to France and Italy and between 1995 and 1999 to Croatia. Mladen Kunstic lives in Würselen and Sutivan on the island of Brač in Croatia.

In connection with his Croatian homeland, Kunstic opened up a new field of activity through his Sun Village Brac project , in which he wants to bring experience in marketing, tourism and architecture, as well as in dealing with the Croatian situation.

Cathedral project

In the spring of 2006 Kunstic began to depict the Aachen Cathedral in 173 variations on canvas. He uses a painting technique with which he creates collage processes in combination with expressive colors through the use of different materials , in which the Aachen Cathedral was central. Since then, the art project has developed into a universal art project that includes other denominations and cathedrals.
