Mo'unu is an island in the Tongan archipelago of Vava'u .

geography

Mo'unu is located in the east next to Ovaka , the center of the administrative district of Motu and Ovalau . The islands ʻEuakafa (O) and Lua Ui in the south belong to the same reef crown . To the north are the islets of Fonualai and Sisia .

climate

The climate is tropical hot, but is tempered by constantly blowing winds. Like the other islands of the Vava'u group, Mo'unu is occasionally hit by cyclones .
