geography
Ovaka is the center of Motu County . It is located in the south of the archipelago between Vakaʻeitu (N) and the much smaller islets Ovalau , Muʻomuʻa (Muʻomuʻa), as well as Totokamaka and Totokafonua . The islets of Langakali and Moʻunu as well as ʻEuakafa in the east belong to the same reef crown . The island itself is very indented. Four curves seem to have grown together like the knuckles of a hand.
climate
The climate is tropical hot, but is tempered by constantly blowing winds. Like the other islands of the Vava'u group, Ovaka is occasionally hit by cyclones .
