Fonualai is a small uninhabited island in the Tongan archipelago of Vavaʻu .
geography
Fonualai is located in the south of the archipelago, in the middle between Nuapapu (Matamaka Peninsula, N), Luaʻofa , Sisia (O), Moʻunu (S), Ovalau , Langitau and Lape .
climate
The climate is tropical hot, but is tempered by constantly blowing winds. Like the other islands of the Vava'u group, Fonualai is occasionally hit by cyclones .
