Luaʻofa is an uninhabited island in the Tongan archipelago of Vavaʻu .

geography

Luaʻofa, together with Nuku and the peninsula of Matamaka ( Nuapapu ), forms the southern edge of the bay in which the islands of ʻOto and Aʻa are located. Lua'ofa is itself an offshoot of the island Nuapapu.

climate

The climate is tropical hot, but is tempered by constantly blowing winds. Like the other islands of the Vavaʻu group, Luaʻofa is occasionally hit by cyclones .
