Nuku is a small uninhabited island in the Tongan archipelago of Vavaʻu . The island is one of two islands with the same name in the Vavaʻu archipelago.

geography

Nuku, together with Luaʻofa and the peninsula of Matamaka ( Nuapapu ), forms the southern edge of the bay in which the islands of ʻOto and Aʻa are located. Nuku is itself an offshoot of Kapa Island .

climate

The climate is tropical hot, but is tempered by constantly blowing winds . Like the other islands of the Vavaʻu group, Nuku is occasionally hit by cyclones .
