Mobile is a small town in Maricopa County in the US state of Arizona , 35 miles southwest of Phoenix, Arizona . Mobile was founded in the 1930s as a settlement by Afro-Americans from Mobile, Alabama . Today fewer than 100 people live there, but there is still a primary school (Mobile Elementary). The place is affected by the Arizona State Route 238 .
The private airfield (coordinates) of the Airline Training Center Arizona is six km north of the town. The paved runway 09/27 has a length of 1372 m and is used by the Lufthansa and Bundeswehr flight students to practice landing approaches. It also has an ILS on runway 09.
