Regulatory content

The MobHV concerned vehicles with an electric drive and a design-related maximum speed of no more than 20 km / h ( Section 1 MobHV). Mobility aids that had the technical characteristics specified in Section 1 (1) MobHV were motor vehicles in the sense of the Road Traffic Act (StVO). They were only allowed to be used on public roads in accordance with §§ 2-7 MobHV. Personal authorization resulted from the Driving License Ordinance (FeV); therefore was at least a Certificate for conducting of mopeds carry. In principle, the regulations of the Road Traffic Regulations applied, whereby only driving on cycle paths or cycle lanes or protective lanes and - if they were missing - alternatively on lanes, outside built-up areas, however, not on federal, state or district roads.
