Mobisode

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A Mobisode ( suitcase word from mobile [phone] , English expression for cell phone , and episode ) is a feature film series for mobile devices such as cell phones , portable media players or handheld consoles . In the United States, the word Mobisodes is registered as a brand name on 20th Century Fox . However, comparable content from other companies is also unofficially referred to as Mobisodes .

A mobisode produced either specifically for mobile devices or is a compilation of already broadcast transmission . The latter are usually enriched with unsent material in order to increase the incentive for the viewer to download a mobisode onto the device.

The playing time and image resolution of a mobisode result from the technical requirements such as transmission speed, resolution of the display, etc.
