The Mockritzer manor belonged from 1231 to 1590 to the Marschalk von Mockritz , a line of the Marschall von Bieberstein . The von Pontzschmann family lived here from 1590 to 1663, then the von Dürfeld family until 1719, and in 1719 Philipp Adam zu Eltz acquired the estate together with the Jeßnitz and Döschütz estates and bequeathed them to his nephew Anton Gottlieb Christoph von Hardenberg from the Wiederstedt family . After his death in 1752, his four sons took over the three estates of Mockritz, Jeßnitz and Döschütz and managed them together; in 1788 they were sold. The Barons von Lorenz followed until 1854, Otto Ludwig Christoph von Schönberg from 1854–1916 , then Elisabeth v. Schönberg, then, until the expropriation in 1945, her adopted son, Otto's grandson Hendrik Camp von Schönberg. In 1993 the estate was bought back by Theda von Kuenheim, née Camp von Schönberg and Eberhard von Kuenheim .
