The depressed bartender Moe Szysklak wants to kill himself. When he stands in front of the bridge and wants to jump, the baby Maggie Simpson flies into his arms. She was just thrown out of the car. The Simpson family is immensely grateful to Moe and Marge hires him to babysit. Among other things, Moe tells her a mafia story. It's a lot of fun for the toddler, but it becomes too much for Homer, the family man. Maggie sees Moe as the father and not Homer. In addition, the babysitter takes care of them much better than the birth parents. Marge and Homer no longer want him to take care of them. One night the mafia gathers in the Simpsons' garden. Maggie remind these people of the story Moe told and follow them. Homer and Marge find that Maggie has disappeared and think she was kidnapped by her former babysitter. But when Moe hears about it, he wants to help find Maggie. He risks his life by fetching her from an Italian restaurant where several mafias want to shoot each other. Moe survives and the Simpsons thank him by allowing him to take care of Maggie again.
