Nasrollah Moein (Persian: نصرالله معین ), better known as " Moein " (* 1951 in Najafābād , Isfahan ), is an Iranian singer who became famous for his poetic love songs.

Childhood and youth

Moein was born in 1951 in Najafābād , known by many as the “city of artists”. He felt so close to his hometown from an early age that he decided against a career in the capital Tehran , which had developed into the center of artists, and instead made his first appearances in the famous “Shah Abbas” hotel.

Career

After Moein wrote the song Yeki Ra Doost Midaram in 1982 , he left the country. In a later interview, he stated that this song was interpreted by Hayedeh (well-known Persian singer) during his early days in Los Angeles . Still, it was his version that would become famous and attract more attention for the first time. This time shift leads many people to believe that Moein covered Hayedeh's song and not the other way around.

The following years were very indicative of his career. In the late 1980s and 1990s he wrote a number of hits that became classics, including Kabeh , Havas , Isfahan , Miparastam and Paricheh . As a result of these successes, he gained great attention not only in Iran, but also in many countries to which Iranians have emigrated, e. B. Germany, where he often appeared.

present

Even today there are still successful releases of the artist, most recently his album Tolou and the Toloue Man . To date, Moein has produced a total of 22 albums and is one of the best-selling Iranian artists.

His new album, planned for 2011, is in the works, the first release Khatereha has been heard since February 2010. Two more videos have been released since spring 2011, Hamdam and Khoone Siavash . In December 2011 his single Delam Tangete was released. In 2012, two more singles followed, Majnoon and Mardom . He goes on tour with the Iranian musician Siavash Ghomayshi in 2013 and released their first single, Parandeh , in February 2013. In February 2013, Moein released two more singles, Aghoosh and Gole Naz Darom .
