Mogens mountain

Mogens Berg (born June 8, 1944 in Odense ) is a former Danish football player . The striker played professionally for the Scottish club Dundee United and made eight appearances for the national team in his home country .

After he had already come to three appearances for the Danish U-19 team in 1961, he began to play for the first team of Odens first division club Boldklubben 1909 in 1962 . With the club he was Danish cup winner in the same year and Danish champion in 1964. In 1962/64 he was also used in five games of the Danish U-21. At the end of 1964 he also made his first three senior international appearances, after his debut on November 29th in the World Cup qualification against Greece in the first week of December against Italy and Israel , which were the only ones for seven years because of his move to the Scottish professional league should stay.

At Dundee United, he played more than 80 competitive games between 1964 and 1967. When Dundee took part in 1967 as the Dallas Tornado in the game operations of the North American Soccer League , Berg was used in ten games; he scored two goals and prepared two more. At the end of 1967 he returned to the first team of the Boldklubben 1909 and played there until 1976, making a total of 246 league appearances for BK 1909, scoring 39 goals. When active and former professional footballers were first approved for the national team by the Danish federation in 1971, Berg played again in the first game against Portugal on May 12 ; after another five games in May and June 1971, however, his international career finally ended.

After his professional time he became a printer in 1969 for the daily newspaper Fyens Stiftstidende from his hometown.
