Mohamed Salama Badi (* 1966 in El Aaiún , Spanish Sahara ; Arabic محمد سلامة بادي) is a diplomat from the Sahara Democratic Arab Republic .

Career

In his youth Badi was an activist and syndicalist in the Western Sahara, which was occupied by Morocco . He received a degree in economics from the University of Sétif in Algeria . He then went to Spain to continue his studies and finally received a master's degree in "Conflicts, Peace and Development" at the Universidad Jaime I in Castellón de la Plana . This was followed by a doctorate from the University of Granada . Badi began his diplomatic career as head of the General Delegation of the Sahara Democratic Arab Republic in Syria as early as the 1990s . In the late 2000s, he became a representative for the Sahara Democratic Arab Republic in the Pan-African Parliament .

Badi Mohamed Kamal Fadel followed in 2010 as Ambassador of the Democratic Arab Republic of the Sahara to East Timor . Badi handed over his accreditation on June 7th. On May 16, 2012 Badi received the Ordem de Timor-Leste (Order of East Timor), the highest honor in the country, from President José Ramos-Horta .
