Mohammed Mongi Lahbib

Mohammed Mongi Lahbib (born June 4, 1944 in Gabès ) is a retired Tunisian diplomat . From 1997 to 2001 he was Tunisian ambassador to the People's Republic of China . He is married and has three children.

Career

  • From 1975 to 1979 he was Counselor in Kuwait City .
  • From 1979 to 1983 he was Minister Counselor in Brussels
  • From 1983 to 1984 he was the office manager of the State Secretary for Foreign Affairs.
  • From 1984 to 1988 he was authorized representative, chargé d'affaires in Algiers .
  • From 1988 to 1992 he was ambassador to Amman .
  • From 1992 to 1997 he was Secretary General of the Ministry of International Cooperation and Foreign Investment.
  • From 1997 to 2001 he was ambassador to Beijing.
  • From 2001 to 2002 he was the office manager of the Foreign Minister.
  • From 2002 to 2004 he was Inspector General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
  • From 2004 to 2005 he was Head of the European Union Department in the Foreign Office in Tunis and was a delegate at conferences of the New Partnership for Africa's Development
