Moharram Navidkia
Moharram Navidkia (born November 1, 1982 in Isfahan ) is an Iranian national soccer player and played in the 2004/2005 season for the then second division VfL Bochum and in the Iranian national soccer team .
Navidkia comes from Isfahan and started his football career here at the local club Sepahan Isfahan . With the team he won the first national championship in the club's history in 2003. In addition, there were two victories in the national cup competition in the following years.
At the same time, his career as a national player began. In summer 2004 he led his country as team captain to win the Asian championship in Busan / South Korea . Shortly thereafter, Navidkia long set back a severe cruciate ligament injury . Nevertheless, the Iranian moved to the Bundesliga for VfL Bochum that same summer , where he played for the first time in summer 2005 after a completely cured injury. In the first half of the season Navidkia then played ten games, but could not completely convince. During the winter break, VfL Bochum loaned Navidkia back to his hometown club Sepahan Isfahan until the end of the season.
Although Moharram Navidkia had not yet returned the leap from injury back into the national team, he came as a surprise but still a place in the World Cup squad of Iran for the 2006 FIFA World Cup in Germany, when he replaced the injured Sattar Zare was re-nominated . Even if he did not appear there, he has played 24 full internationals to date and scored one goal for his country. His contract ended in 2008 with Sepahan, currently still without a club, could not play for 4-5 months because he had injuries and had to undergo pelvic surgery. It is not yet clear if he can play again. Currently (2013) Navidkia is playing for Sepahan again.
