Moi-même-moitié
Moi-même-moitié ( jap. 有限会社モワ·メーム·モワティエ , Yugen-gaisha Mowa MEMU Mowatie ) is a Japanese Gothic Lolita - fashion label based in Azabu , Minato , Tokyo , founded by Japanese musician Mana , the former band leader and guitarist by Malice Mizer and since 2002 leader of Moi dix Mois . Besides Metamorphose Temps de Filles and Baby, The Stars Shine Bright, Moi-même-Moitié is one of the few Japanese Lolita labels that offers its designs on an international level.
Clothing style
Stylistically, Moi-même-Moitié is divided into Elegant Gothic Lolita and Elegant Gothic Aristocrat , which are fashion creations by Mana himself. The latest collections are presented in the Gothic & Lolita Bible by Mana himself. Moi-même-Moitié has stores in Tokyo and Nagoya in Japan and has been selling its clothing abroad via the Internet since September 2004.
The style is originally based on clothes that Mana wore while at Malice Mizer. The black dresses with petticoat, ruffles and lace were discussed by the Japanese media and called 'Gothic', which however did not correspond to Mana's opinion. Mana liked the idea of combining the dark elements of Gothic with an element resembling a doll's dress, and he pursued this right up to his own fashion label. Mana named the style 'Elegant Gothic Lolita' (also under the influence of the media). After two years of preparation, Moi-même-Moitié opened its doors for the first time in 1999.
