Molissa Fenley

Molissa Fenley (* 1954 in Las Vegas , Nevada ) is an American dancer and choreographer .

Life

After attending school, Molissa Fenley studied dance at Mills College in Oakland before moving to New York City , where she made her debut as a choreographer in 1978 .

Although she created pieces for her own dance ensemble and other dance companies, her reputation as a choreographer was based in particular on the physically demanding, high-energy solos such as Eureka (1982), State of Darkness (1988) and Regions (1995).
