Momodou Dibba

Alhaji Momodou M. Dibba (* in the 20th century; † February 25, 2017 in Banjul ) was a Gambian sports official .

Life

Dibba served as general manager of the Gambia Cooperative Union (GCU), general secretary of the Gambia Football Association (GFA) and president of the Gambia National Drafts Association .

In February 2011, Dibba was elected President of the Gambia National Olympic Committee (GNOC) after the post had been vacant since November 2009 - when former President Lt Gen Lang Tombong Tamba was arrested. He was re-elected in 2013, shortly before November 5, 2016, he announced that he would not be available for another term and that he would retire. Dodou "Capi" Joof became his successor.

Dibba died in February 2017 in the Edward Francis Small Teaching Hospital in Banjul and was buried in the cemetery in Old Jeshwang on February 26, 2017 .
