The Gambia Football Federation ( GFF ) ( German : Gambischer Fußballbund ; formerly Gambia Football Association ( GFA )) is the umbrella organization for football clubs in Gambia .
The GFA was founded on November 3, 1952 and joined the Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) and the Confédération Africaine de Football (CAF) in 1966. He organizes the Gambian Football League and the Gambian National Football Team .
President
In 1955, Baboucarr Semega-Janneh was elected the association's first president.
1977/1978 Ebrima Malick Samba was the third president of the GFA.
Ousman B. Conateh headed the association from 1993 and resigned in 2001.
At the end of December 2001 Gabbie Sosseh (also: Gabbi Sosseh ) was elected as his successor. After more than two thirds of the members expressed their distrust at a meeting in November 2004, the board was dismissed and Omar Sey was elected interim president.
After his previously announced resignation, the previous Vice President Seedy Kinteh was elected President on December 31, 2005 and re-elected in January 2010. In March 2012, the GFA of Sports Ministers was Alieu K. Jammeh because of inefficiency ( inefficency / ineffectiveness ) and added a normalization committee headed by former President Ousman B. Conateh used.
On July 31, 2013, Mustapha Kebbeh was re-elected as president of the association that was now called the Gambia Football Federation (GFF). In May 2014, he was suspended from his position because the Confédération Africaine de Football (CAF) had previously banned all Gambian national teams from international competitions for two years because of falsified age information. For him, a normalization committee was set up, which was headed by the former national coach Alhagie Sillah .
In September 2014, the former Minister Lamin Kaba Bajo was elected as the new President. After the election, the suspension of the national teams was lifted. Bajo was re-elected in 2018.
