Mona Lill Fagerås (born January 9, 1972 in Harstad ) is a Norwegian politician of the Sosialistisk Venstreparti (SV). She has been a member of the Storting since 2017 .

Life

Fagerås studied sociology at Tromsø University between 1991 and 1992 and then studied to be a teacher until 1995. She then worked as a teacher in Oslo until 1999 before returning to Northern Norway. Fagerås taught in Sortland and Vestvågøy until 2015, and from 2012 she was rector.

Fagerås sat in Vestvågøy's municipal parliament from 2003 to 2015. From 2014 to 2016, she served as her party's vice-chair in Nordland Province . Between 2015 and 2017 she was a member of the Fylkesting in her province, where she was the member of Fylkesråd responsible for the economy . In the 2017 general election , she entered the Norwegian national parliament in Storting . There she represents the constituency of Nordland and is a member of the education and research committee.
