Monika Olejnik (born November 11, 1956 in Warsaw ) is a Polish journalist.

Life

Monika Olejnik is the daughter of Tadeusz Olejnik, an officer in the communist state intelligence and security service Służba Bezpieczeństwa .

After graduating from high school, she graduated from the Warsaw University of Natural Sciences ( Szkoła Główna Gospodarstwa Wiejskiego ) specializing in animal sciences . She also completed postgraduate studies in journalism at Warsaw University .

She began her professional career in the agricultural editorial department of the 1st program of the Polish State Radio.

From 1982 onwards she worked in the 3rd program for 18 years , where she conducted political interviews. From January 2001 to June 2016 she was employed by the private broadcaster Radio Zet , where she conducted interviews on weekdays and political discussions on Sundays on the program Siódmy dzień tygodnia (Seventh day of the week).

Since 2006 she has been conducting interviews with celebrities on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays at 8:00 p.m. on the private news television TVN24 under the title Kropka nad i (The "i" point).

She conducts interviews with Agnieszka Kublik for the daily newspaper Gazeta Wyborcza .
