Monika Knipschild-Pieper (born August 27, 1963 in Ehrenfeld , Bochum ) is a German politician of the Pirate Party .

Life and political career

In 1983 she graduated from high school at Ostring . Then she studied special education in Dortmund . In 1991 she passed her second state examination .

In January 2010 she joined the Pirate Party . From the founding of the Bochum district association on November 18, 2010 to January 30, 2013, she was its first chairwoman. On May 13, 2012 Monika Pieper was elected to 8th place on the state list of the Pirate Party of North Rhine-Westphalia in the state elections in North Rhine-Westphalia in 2012 as a member of the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia . She was the parliamentary director of her group. When the pirates failed to pass the five percent hurdle in the state elections in 2017 , Pieper left the state parliament.
