Monique (born October 14, 1977 in Bern ; actually Monique Hürner ) is a Swiss singer of popular hits .
Life
Monique grew up in Bern and learned to play the accordion as a child . She also played the timpani in a Guggenmusik and made music on the keyboard .
In 1997 she took part in the Grand Prix of Folk Music 1997 with the title The Little Wonders of this World and reached 11th place. At the Grand Prix of Folk Music in 1998 she came out with I don't want to see your laugh again beyond the Swiss preliminary decision. She won the Grand Prix of Folk Music in 1999 with the title once so, once so .
In the following year, together with the singer Leonard , she moderated both the Swiss preliminary decision and the international final of the Grand Prix of Folk Music 2000 . In 2001 she stood at Leonard's side as the presenter of the Swiss preliminary decision of the Grand Prix of Folk Music in front of the camera.
Monique is a frequent guest on popular television shows. In 2011 she appeared for the first time with folk dialect songs with children's songwriter Roland Zoss and the mouse Jimmy-Flitz.
In 2011 Monique won the Prix Walo in the “Audience Favorite” category.
