The Monolith Lake is a lake on the West Antarctic James Ross Island . It is south of Abernethy Flats and around 2.5 km northwest of Stickle Ridge .
The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it in 1993 after a 12 m high monolith from a volcanic breccia on the south-west bank of the lake.
