Monster Allergy is an Italian - German animated series from 2005. The animated series was developed in cooperation between Rainbow SpA , which is also responsible for the animated series Winx Club , Disney Television and ZDF .

The cartoon series is based on the comics Monster Allergy from 2003. Ignio Straffi is responsible for the production of the series .

action

Zick Ezekiel can see monsters in contrast to "normal" people. He comes from a dynasty of monster tamers and has special skills that allow him to look into this extraordinary world. Most monsters are harmless and nice, some are annoying and a few are dangerous. Magnacat belongs to the Gorkas, a vicious hybrid of monsters and humans, who can change their outer shape - depending on how it suits their mean plans. But Magnacat did not expect Zick, who helps the good monsters of the city and tames and catches the bad monsters. Zick is supported by Elena, his intrepid friend from the neighborhood. At first he seems to be the only “tamer” until he meets his competitor Teddy Thaur . With the help of his friends, he manages to free his father, who was kidnapped by Magnacat .

Characters

Ezekiel Zick
He is 12 (10 in the comic) and due to a rare allergy he has the ability to see monsters and defeat them together with Elena. He likes to eat currant sandwiches. He has relatively long blue hair , wears a green T-shirt and a purple sweater underneath. His grandparents have passed away and are now ghosts .
Elena Potato
She is exactly as old as Ezekiel and receives from his mother the gift of seeing monsters that other people cannot see. She is very self-confident and always says "Holy burst of fire" when she is frightened. Her hobby is reading comics. She is wearing a green sweater with a purple bow in front of it. She has brown hair, mostly tied in a braid. She often wears a baseball cap in the episodes . She is a so-called "guardian". In the English version it is spoken by Kaley Cuoco .
Magnacat
Magnacat is a Gorka. He has the ability to transform, which "camouflages" him. He also has the ability to control the thoughts of others and can fly very well (all Gorkas can). He wants to take revenge for his humiliations and take control of the monster city Biburssi.
Omnised and Omniquod
The two are brothers and Magnacat's agents. They too have the ability to transform themselves into people , among other things . But they are not harmless, which is why Teddy Thaur, who appears later, turns out to be an aid in the fight against the two.
Emily Vermeer
She is Ezekiel Zick's aunt and an evil witch . She lives in a secret base in the nearby forest.
Hectro Sinistro
He was once a "guardian" too. He later got angry and founded a circus that featured the most terrifying monsters to fight against.
Greta Barrymore
Greta Barrymore is Zick's mother. She protects her son from monsters and runs a flower shop. Like Elena Potato, she is a "guardian" who makes sure that monsters do not subjugate the earth. She has blonde hair and glasses.
Zobedia "Zob" Zick
Zob Zick is the father of Ezekiel Zick. Like his son, he can tame monsters and is therefore also a "tamer" ( Tamer ).
Theo and Tessa
Theo and Tessa are the wise spirits of Zick's deceased grandparents, whom he asks for advice if he doesn't know what to do next.
Julie Potato
Julie Potato is the pregnant mother of Elena Potato. Unlike her daughter, however, she has no special powers. As the characters age with the series, she will have twins at the end of the series.
