The Rattelsdorf Monster Park , also known as the “First German Construction Machine Museum”, is an amusement park in Rattelsdorf , Bavaria . It is thematically based on monsters made of steel . These are construction machines from mini excavators to monster excavators , which are available in all sizes and variations as museum pieces as well as monster machines that you can operate yourself. Dredging is the focus, attractions such as the Monster Race adventure roller coaster, the asphalt quad racing track, various playgrounds and castles and many other attractions for children complement the Rattelsdorf Monster Park.

history

The Monster Park idea came up in 2005 when a traveling businessman saw the construction machinery parked for civil engineering while driving through Rattelsdorf . He asked the owner of Seibold Erdbau GmbH, Gerhard Seibold, whether he could drive the monster excavator, he would also pay for it. This is how the idea of exclusive dredging was born, which allowed dredging by appointment.

Inquiries for guided tours and the history of construction machines increased, so that the construction machine museum building block was created from 2006 to 2008. The oldest construction machine in the Monster Park is the Menck M 4 steam excavator from 1927, the largest being the Demag H185 excavator with 200 tons.

From mid-2008, the first children aged eight and over were allowed to control mini-excavators themselves under supervision . Gerhard Seibold himself is fascinated by the violence and the variants of construction machines. Even as a child he gained his first experiences with excavators, which he would like to pass on to the children today. Until the summer of 2010, the monster park gradually grew in size, with the construction machinery and the attractions.

Since 2012, the Monsterpark has offered 50,000 visitors a year on 30,000 m² of the First German Construction Machine Museum with over 150 construction machines, around 30 active excavator options and various action attractions.
