The Mont Tohiea (sometimes also Mont Tohivea ) is at 1207 m above sea level, the highest point on the island of Moorea in the archipelago of the Society Islands in French Polynesia . It forms the southern tip of the crater wall of the former volcano that formed the island. Mont Tohiea consists mainly of basalt , like almost all mountains of the Society Islands.
