Montagu Erskine, 6th Baron Erskine
Montagu Erskine, 6th Baron Erskine (born April 13, 1865 in London , † February 9, 1957 ), was a British nobleman and politician .
Life
His father was William Macnaghten Erskine, 5th Baron Erskine ; his mother was Caroline Alice Martha, daughter of William Grimble. When his father died in 1913, he inherited his title Baron Erskine and the associated seat in the House of Lords .
Montagu Erskine embarked on a military career after training at Eton College . He fought in World War I and ended his career as a Lieutenant Commander in the Royal Navy Volunteer Reserve .
He was married once. His marriage, on January 16, 1895, to Florence, daughter of Edgar Flower ( Justice of the Peace in Stratford-upon-Avon ) had three children:
- Victoria Esmée (* 1897; † unbek.)
- Donald Cardross Flower , heir and later 16th Earl of Buchan
- Richard Alastair (* 1901; † 1987)
