The Monte Groppo Rosso is a mountain in the Ligurian Apennines with an altitude of 1593 meters. It is located in the northern Italian metropolitan city of Genoa , on the border with the province of Piacenza in the Emilia-Romagna region . The Ligurian side of the mountain belongs to the Aveto Natural Park .
From the summit of Monte Groppo Rosso you have a good view of the surrounding Apennine mountains, the Val d'Aveto and the Po plain .
