The Monte Inici is a mountain in the Italian Free Church consortium Trapani on Sicily . With a height of 1064 m, it is the highest peak of the Castellammare del Golfo mountain complex.
Monte Inici is located south of the municipality of Castellammare del Golfo .
Numerous scientific investigations were carried out at Monte Inci, during which several fossils from the Middle Jurassic and Lower Cretaceous were found.
In ancient times , the Greek settlement Inykon was located on Monte Inici.
The mountain has numerous grottos and caves , especially stalactite caves , and is therefore popular with speleologists .
