The Pizzocolo is above the Lake Garda in the Italian province of Brescia in the region of Lombardy towering mountain. It is part of the mountain range of the Lake Garda Mountains and, at 1581 m, is the highest point within a 15-kilometer radius on the western shore of the lake. It rises immediately northwest of Toscolano-Maderno . Due to its exposed location at the point where the further north, very narrow Lake Garda opens into a wide expanse of water to the south, it can be seen from numerous banks from different directions.
The Monte Pizzocolo has a very characteristic silhouette and a high recognition value due to a pronounced rock ledge on its northeast flank . The mountain is a popular destination, and the summit can be reached on foot or by mountain bike over the only moderately rising south and west slopes. The flanks of the north side drop relatively steeply in comparison.
The Monte Pizzocolo is also called Naso de Napoleone by the locals because of its characteristic summit formation . In a south-north direction it looks like the face profile of the reclining Emperor Napoleon Bonaparte .
