Montebello is a municipality ( French municipalité ) in the south of the Canadian province of Québec with 978 inhabitants. It is located about 50 km east of Gatineau in the municipalité régionale de comté Papineau .
In 1981 the participants of the G7 summit in Ottawa and in 1983 the participants of the Bilderberg conference stayed in the Château Montebello , a hotel .
